Continuous product improvement is part of our DNA. We started using real wood veneer as a base for labels early on. Since wood expands and contracts and reacts to humidity and temperature, which ultimately also affect the flexibility of the material, we sought ways to improve it.
Selected local veneer is now sanded thinner and laminated onto a non-woven material for stabilisation. This has impressively improved flexibility. We currently offer oak, smoked oak, birch and beech as real wood veneers with a non-woven base.
The ‘Captain’s Choice’ label shown above features a light oak veneer with digital printing on the front. Digital printing is also possible on the back of the light-coloured backing fleece. The label depicts a typical treasure map that can be seen through the bottle and the rum.
