Hay, moss and wood can be used as base materials for self-adhesive labels that focus on nature. These materials are not only appealing to the eye, they also guarantee tactile and olfactory experiences. The hay used for ‘SHIZUOKA TEA’ still smells like hay even after a few years.
The natural raw materials are mixed with an ecological binding agent and pressed into a thin layer. The surfaces are natural. In theory, it is possible to seal these surfaces with specially formulated oils and varnishes to achieve greater resistance to external influences, although this does mean that some of the natural character is lost. In addition to the hay and moss mentioned above, grasses, leaves, flowers, pods, stems, blossoms and other plant components can also be used.
