Concrete sign

It looks like concrete… and it is concrete. Here, a flexible sandwich material with a real concrete surface has been digitally printed in black. With the self-adhesive backing, even curved surfaces such as bottles can be labelled with this innovative and unusual variant. This concrete surface is also a tactile experience and certainly not mainstream.

Real concrete is just one example of the use of alternative materials for product labelling. Other examples include real wood veneers, cork or real stone surfaces. Highly textured surfaces are usually printed using digital printing. The intensity of the material texture determines the degree of perfection of the print result. The smoother the substrate, the better the print result will be – and vice versa. The imperfect print is a hallmark and integral part of textured labels and is therefore actually desirable. This automatically makes each label unique.
